DOWN UNDER Oz's Tips for Entry to Ulduar. This is by no means an experts opinion but merely what I have to come to learn about the entry to Ulduar from the many times that I have completed it to date. I am sure there are plenty of experts who would criticise what I say but this is for my guild members, all of whom are very cool people that I play WoW with and from their perspective, any advice is appreciated and hence the purpose of this page. When we enter Ulduar, our first goal is to clear the path to the FLAME LEVIATHAN. We are allocated vehicles in this stage, or at least a role in a vehicle. There are also motorbikes but I will explain these a bit further on. Generally, one person drives and one person is the attacker from that vehicle. The attackers generally get two types of attacks, AIR missiles and GROUND bombs. Use these as much as possible on all mobs. There are also shields and speed boosts that attackers control as well but obviously you use these as the circumstances require. Common sense rules of course. I will however say that the speed boost is very handy against the FLAME LEVIATHAN when he chooses you as his random target when in combat against him. Helicopters will attack from the skies so AIR missiles are used here. One important thing to note is that just before the FLAME LEVIATHAN fight, BLUE PYRITE will hover in the skies above and AIR attacks must shoot these down as we all pick them up for energy during the fight. You will see a button on your toolbars that says COLLECT PYRITE on the vehicles that have it. OK, a critically important thing is the MOTORBIKES, which are not hard to use and only have one man on each bike. They drop OIL in puddles which can be set alight by the GROUND attacks and it does huge damage. I always drop oil just in front of the large mobs with huge HP and then the vehicles lure them into it whilst attacking them at the same time. They die 20x faster if they are burning whilst we DPS them down. :) The MOTORBIKES also have a SONIC HORN which is good to kill small mobs that run around everywhere, whilst you are setting up locations for your OIL drops. The FLAME LEVIATHAN himself will chase a random vehicle around and hurts you if he catches you. Use DBM so that you know when you are targeted and run away fast, avoid getting cornered or you die and just run until he changes his attack onto someone else. Those not being chased, DPS as hard as you can and this time, OIL drops should be in front of him with regard for the fact that he keeps moving. So drop a little bit in front so that GROUND units can light it; also such that he must pass through it along his path while chasing someone. Once he is dead, you have successfully entered Ulduar. Main key points are to not lose much health before the FLAME LEVIATHAN fight, kill AIR attacks quickly, shoot down PYRITE and work closely together. Do not spread out everywhere, just work as one unit, drop OIL, burn the mothers down and kill the boss as a team. Hope you enjoy it and may your loots be prosperous.
