The product was the Personal Computer with a graphical user interface. We were given computing power to perform tasks for us with the aid of small icons on the screen that a device known as a mouse, clicked on to make certain things happen. This was where the foundations were laid for what is today known as the I.T. Industry and since 1994, it has become the worlds fastest developing industry with more focus and research being carried out within it, then any other industry in our modern world. The diversity and scope of what computing technologies deliver to the world today is enormous. The world itself has now become so dependent on the use of computers that when we look back to 1994, we simply cannot fathom how far the progress has brought us in such a relatively short time.
